Marc Farra

Marc is a tinkerer for good. He loves taking things apart and putting them back together better. Marc enjoys introducing people to open data and teaching people to Make. He co-founded Lamba Labs—Lebanon’s first Maker Space and one of the first Maker Spaces in the Middle East—and built a community for open data advocates in Lebanon.

Lately Marc has opened data on Lebanese politics and visualized Lebanon’s election data. He built a mobile app to help Afghan voters to find their polling stations, and an open source social media monitoring platform. He’s also worked in computer vision, information design, and managing real-time sensor data.

Marc holds a BE in Computer and Telecommunications Engineering from the American University of Beirut. He is fluent in Arabic and French.
