That was easy. We upgraded the Development Seed Blog from Drupal 4.5 to 4.6. It's great to be able to use 4.6 and get used to the new organization, new features, new interfaces, etc. Drupal.org runs on the latest head version of Drupal itself...
That was easy. We upgraded the Development Seed Blog from Drupal 4.5 to 4.6. It's great to be able to use 4.6 and get used to the new organization, new features, new interfaces, etc. Drupal.org runs on the latest head version of Drupal itself. Oracle runs its internal operations on the latest snapshot of its database. So do many other software companies. Many do not. I was talking to someone who worked w/ RDB where internal operations were not run on the head or latest release of the database. They did not eat their own dog food - their customers did, and this caused major and even critical operations problems for many companies, when the company had the guts to upgrade to the newest release of the database.

One Thursday afternoon this past January I went over to TADEPA, a local NGO in Ayacucho, Peru who works with people who live in the country side to improve food security, health, and education in the Andes regions of Peru. I went to TADEPA to show the administrative assistant how to enter the webpage and add pictures and change content on pages, as well as add new pages. Although I’m short on time, it made sense to go and do this training in order to collect data and feedback for our upcoming videos on common administration tasks in a CivicSpace/Drupal website. We plan to distribute these desktop recordings to our clients and others who may find them useful.
Yesterday I met with a current client and demonstrated how a drupal-run site can easily put control of content updating and management in his own hands, without the need to learn any html.
