Blog: Meet-up

Before you settle in to watch the Hoyas tear it up in March Madness, come to a DC event that's also quickly rising in the ranks - the almost monthly Drupal Meetup. We're on for tomorrow, Wednesday, March 14, at 7:00 pm at the Science Club. (1136 19th Street, NW) at 7pm. The timing is great with it happening right before Drupalcon, which I know a lot of the folks in DC are planning to attend. What better way to get excited for the conference than to get a bunch of laptops out and show some new tools that people are using! Forget the projector and formal presentations that we normally do - we're bringing a wifi router and want people to come and show off their work and get to know more folks over beer.

We are having our next Washington, DC, Meet-up on Wednesday, September 13th at 7 pm. This time it will be even easier for folks coming from work downtown to stop by - we are meeting at the Science Club at 1136 19th Street, NW. We have the entire second floor reserved so it will be a whole lot easier to do formal presentations.

That's right. We are getting organized and have decided to focus this meeting on the expected changes to Drupal in the rollout of 5.0 coming this Fall. Ted Serbinski from Lullabot will be leading the talk. We'll even have a projector :)

Tonight (July 26th) at 7pm Drupal hackers and users will be coming together at Bus Boys and Poets in Washington. The address is 2021 14th Street, NW, Washington, DC

The Development Seed crew will be talking about mapping, especially looking at geo tagging and integration of gmaps, and also be showing off some new flash multimedia integration. We might also be showing some new templating work we have just finished up.

We are doing it again! Forty people showed up last month – now we have over 60 people on our listserv!
