Testing SMS Outreach for Women’s Rights
Communications Strategist

Testing SMS module that hooks into Mobile Accord on SaveROE.com (Drupal 4.6)
One of the biggest battles in this year’s midterm elections isn’t between Democrats and Republicans – it’s over women’s reproductive rights. Next week South Dakotans will vote on whether to keep the state’s blanket ban on abortions. There’s no question that this vote will play a major role in many other states’ policies on abortion. So you want to know the results, right? It just got easier for you to get them without being chained to your television or computer next Tuesday.

NextBillion.net getting great press

NextBillion.net, the World Resource Institute's Development Through Enterprise blog and one of the latest websites Development Seed has launched, has been gettting noticed!  Business Week says: "Most stuff that is written in blogs is self-indulgent crap, or mean-spirited political spin. Here's a blog worth spending time and effort on..."

Running on 4.6

That was easy.  We upgraded the Development Seed Blog from Drupal 4.5 to 4.6.  It's great to be able to use 4.6 and get used to the new organization, new features, new interfaces, etc.  Drupal.org runs on the latest head version of Drupal itself...

Custom user profile pages in Drupal

We've worked hard to get NextBillion.net up and running. For this post
I want to feature the user profile page customizations. If you go to
www.nextbillion.net/profile you can see the user profiles listing. If
you are signed into the site you will see private messenger and
add-to-buddylist on this listing to let you quickly contact another
user. A partial inspiration for this work are the profile pages over
here at
http://www.digitaldivide.net/profile/francisraven which is based on
zope/plone, for example. In Drupal, I like the way you can tab over to
the 'track' tab to see latest posts, and then identify the type of post
and awaiting comments in the table view of the tracker module. Check
it out here: http://www.nextbillion.net/user/17. With 'track' data in
a tab (default display in 4.5), it keeps the main profile page nice and
tidy as compared to the digitaldivide.net example.

I went to TADEPA to show the administrative assistant how to enter the webpage and add pictures and change content on pages, as well as add new...
