Thanks for your interest in working at Development Seed. For all positions, we follow a standard process to narrow down the candidates and ensure that we have ample opportunities to understand an individual's technical background and experience and to get to know her or him personally. 

The first step to applying to work with Development Seed is to submit a resume, a note explaining your interest in the position, and your portfolio (either programming or design). We review applications as we receive them. Applicants must meet all required skills in order to be considered for a position. Also, our office is based in Washington, DC and we do ask that everyone work out of our office. In almost every case, telecommuting is not an option. 

If we review your application and determine that you do meet the position's requirements, we'll send you a brief questionnaire designed to tell us more about your specific experience and knowledge around the skills needed for the position. We may also ask for a code sample or ask to review your previous work. If we determine from the questionnaire that you have the skill set we're looking for, we'll schedule a phone interview to discuss your experience and the position at greater length. Then, prior to making a decision, we'll interview final candidates in person.
