Designer
We take design seriously and are looking for another team member that loves pushing the limits of presentation and user interaction. Design dictates how everything else works. This is a lot more than a traditional "website designer" job. This position is for someone who gets excited about designing outside of the mold and creating visual design that advances our clients’ missions and complements the tools we build to help them achieve their intended results. The right person for this job is someone is who passionate about making the world a better place and thinks Edward Tufte is cool.
Development Seed is a small online communications consulting agency that provides strategic advice to help progressive organizations better communicate online and builds tools to help them do so. We specialize in creating simple and elegant applications that get to the root of our clients’ communications problems and achieve powerful real-world results. We are doing serious work right now with news monitoring systems, so if you are into aggregation, scraping, and semantic analysis, this position will be especially exciting. We are also doing lots of work on SMS/IM apps to better integrate our tools with mobile devices, continuing to build multilingual systems, and are designing really smart knowledge management tools as custom solutions and in the near future as a hosted service.
If you are interested in joining a small creative team, send us your portfolio and share with us what kind of projects get you excited.
