FlickrStickr: New Flickr Photo Integration into Drupal (Redux)

The connection between our main blog and Flickr (that really big photo sharing community) just got stronger and easier with Flickrstickr, a new AJAX based module for Drupal that makes adding photos from Flickr as simple as dragging and dropping – no code at all!

Try out a demo on a sandbox here: http://www.developmentseed.org/flickrstickr

1) Click try it.
2) Write in a title of your choice
3) Click down on "flickr image insert"
4) Type a flickr username or a tag, or both, then click "Search"
5) Wait a couple seconds...
6) Images should then appear. Select the insert size and the popup size, then click and drag the one you want into the textarea. The insert size is the size of the image you want to show up in the post. The popup size is the size of the image you want to popup when you click on it in the post.
7) Write some text if you want
8) Hit submit!
9) Props to Marton and Aron

FlickrStickr - redux

We specked out this moudle because we needed, as did a client, a way to easily insert Flickr thumbnails into our blog posts that link back to Flickr. When we stick pictures in our blog posts that we pull from Flickr, it lets us participate in a different community to which we belong, where there is some overlap with our blog’s audience, but also many new people who would never otherwise visit our blog.

For the past couple of months we have stopped hosting any pictures on our blog and just but them on Flickr and use a code snipit to insert the image into our posts. At the same time we started adding a lot more images to our blog to create a better visual dimension to our work, where our blog readers, clients, and fellow drupalers can see what we’re up to instead of just reading about it.

Many times, a picture is more useful than a lengthy blog post, and a picture on Flickr lets us visually index what we’re cooking up, and our blog can add commentary if necessary. Here is a link to the module. Critical feed back is really encouraged. We really enjoyed working with Marton and Aron, the developers on the flickrstickr, and are excited to continue to refine it.

FlickrStickr filter enabled?

I have tried to enable the FlickrStickr in the input format filters and am still getting:
[flickr:105/267510129/5251bf7d6b|left|200|200].

I have activated the Flickr API key.

I have checked and recheck to see why this is occuring. Can you provide some help?

Thanks.

Not working

I installed your module, got a Flickr API, added the API in the Admin> Settings, enabled Image module, successfully added thumbnails to a post (full HTML) using your module, but all I get is this:
[flickr:94/248065000/bc07d5e4b8|left|200|200]
[flickr:88/248065325/6ca5ae6244|left|200|200]

filter enabled?

Maybe you need to go to admin/filters and go to the input format you use and enable the flickrstickr filter?

cheers,
Ian
