Week in DC Tech: Memorial Day Edition
Continue the Weekend Fun with Tech Happy Hours

After a long weekend of grilling, tanning, and remarking on how many biker Veterans converged on the city to celebrate Memorial Day, it's always hard to go back into the office. Luckily, there are a few tech events scheduled to help get you excited for the week.

Tuesday
5:30 - 9:00 pm

4th Tuesday “Dot Com” Networking Salon and Cocktail Party: If you still have it in you after the weekend, come out for drinks tonight to meet other new media professionals. This event usually draws a crowd, so bring lots of business cards.

7:00 - 9:00 pm

Dorkbot: At this month's meeting, Pindar Van Arman will talk about his painter 'bot and Andrew Buckland will discuss the live representation of Internet traffic he's working on. If you're interested in electronic art and computing, you should definitely come out for this meetup.

Wednesday
Noon to 1:30 pm

Book Discussion with Author of Netroots Rising: GW's Institute for Policy, Democracy, and the Internet is hosting a talk with Nate Wilcox, a co-author of Netroots Rising. Listen to what Nate has to say about the power shift happening in political campaigning and here about his first hand experience on the campaign trail with Mark Warner and Richard Morrison

7:00 - 9:00 pm
Drupal Lab: This is your chance to sink your teeth into some code with the help of other people learning or programming Drupal. It's a great opportunity to ask really technical questions - no matter if they're on the noob or guru level.

Check out the full listing of this week's tech events over at DC Tech Events.
