Come Out for Some Tech Events Happening This Week in Washington, DC

The rainy spring weather is expected to break just in time for us to attend some great tech events this week without the burden of carrying an umbrella. Here's a quick look at what we're up to this week. For a full listing of tech events happening around the city, check out DC Tech Events. Hope to see you out this week!

Wednesday:

6:00 pm
ICT for Dev: This month's meeting focuses on the question that's on everyone's mind - are there any good tech jobs in the international development field? This will be followed by a discussion on how you can get these jobs.

7:00 pm
Refresh DC: This one is for the entrepreneurs out there. The meetup will kick off with a discussion on the pros and cons of starting your own tech business and will be led by several people who have already wandered down that path.

Thursday:

6:30 pm
TECH Cocktail DC: It is what it sounds like it is - a happy hour for DC techies. We're going to meet other local bloggers, technologists, and entrepreneurs. And of course, to relax over a few drinks.

Refresh Tonight

Tonight Eric and Alex are headed over to the meetup Refresh DC is holding about tech startups. I saw this article today, which seemed like particularly fitting reading materials for the topic.

Digital Politics Interview

Also, Alan Rosenblatt, organizer of the Internet Advocacy Roundtables and contributor to TechPresident, will be talking about digital politics on a web talk show tonight. Listen in to Jonny's Par-tay at 9:00 pm Wednesday night or check the archives later.
