Wikis for podcasting shownotes
The Daily Source Code, Adam Curry's podcast is now using a wiki for his shownotes. It is running on mediawiki and was set up by Michael Ridley.
I think this is great! Especially for niche podcasts, such as environmental organizations podcasting that want their listeners to contribute back and make their information repository richer.

Podcast wikinotes
Hey there-
Glad you like the wiki I setup (not that I can take much credit really, it's just MediaWiki software). I do think that this system might work well for other podcasters. Once we get a system worked out with the Daily Source Code I'm planning to make this system available to all podcasters...so stay tuned!

You are right on- we use MediaWiki for our clients also – based
on the fact that if you have ever heard of a wiki you have probably heard of
Wikipedia and thus seen MediaWiki in action.

What I think is brilliant behind what you did was to allow a
community to improve meta data for audio… not only does this make the audio
more searchable, good show notes can do that too, but you have added value by allowing
for the show notes to grow and become more comprehensive and really shed light
on what is being talked about in the podcast in a very exciting way.

Please keep me posted on your profess with the wiki system
available to all podcasters and drop me a line when you post more details on
your site about how you see this working.
