Today at 5pm on channel 4, NBC news will air a story on podcasting in the District featuring interviews from a local listener (me) and a podcaster (Tim Jones) both from the CivicSpace community.

Local podcaster Tim Jones, a developer at EchoDitto (http://www.echoditto.com/), will demonstrate how he records his show for EchoRadio (http://radio.echoditto.com/). I will show how you can download and play podcasts from your computer or MP3 player and play clips from my favorite podcasts. This is great CivicSpace is up on podcasting thanks to Drumm's extensible-RSS code and Aldon's podcasting extension. I fully expect our team at Development Seed to design several podcasting sites for progressive organizations in the coming year.
