Democrats podcasting?
Yes, that's right. DNC Chairman candidate Donnie Fowler became the first candidate to podcast with a 7 minute cast describing his candidacy. It’s great that Democrats are continuing to test out new technologies as a way to get their message out to more voters. With the success of blogs in the last election, it’s not shocking that political candidates are trying out new ways to communicate, but I must admit I did not expect to hear that they were podcasting. But then maybe Fowler’s just trying to beat Dean out as the innovative tech candidate for the DNC.
At least he’s phrasing it well: "Different voters get their political information and cues from different sources…The Democratic Party needs to talk to voters where they are."
